Apple 8•24GC or RasterOps 8/24 XLi?

I found this card hidden in another box of undocumented NuBus cards while looking for boards for my IIfx. It's totally decked out with additional ZIPs and four 30 pin SIMMs.

There is no information I'm finding about it online and the wayback totaly mangled up the RasterOps website. I want to know if this board is better than the 8•24GC before I set myself to look for the possibly faster Apple board.

http://lowendmac.com/video/index.html for all your NuBus video card needs!

Review says the 8/24 XLi sucks. (Note that it's really EITHER an 8 XLi OR a 24 XLi, depending on how much RAM is installed. Sort of like how the same Apple card can be either an 8•24 or a 4•8, depending on RAM count. (In fact, I'm pretty sure that every 4•8 can be converted into an 8•24 by adding RAM chips. Some 8•24's were made with socketed RAM, and some with the full RAM soldered on, though, so some can be 'downgraded' while others cannot.)

Wow. That's....really, really bad if it can get beat up by the stock Mac II card.

Okay, well I guess that makes the decision. Off to the marketplace I go.
