Anyone cleaned a Mac 128k Travel Bag before?

Has anyone cleaned a Mac 128k travel bag before?  You know, the beige ones with the Apple logo patch on the front.  I bought a Mac 512k with a grungy bag and was hoping someone would know how to clean it.  I'd hate to scrap it.  Maybe as a last resort, I'll throw it in the washing machine on "gentle" ;)

Thanks.

I thought to myself that if I ever got one that needed cleaning, I would go to the dry cleaners with it. I dont think it would be too expensive, if they can clean it. And it would probably be the best, safest way to clean one.

I would also try the dry cleaners. I tried to clean a backpack once (similar material) and it didn't work out too well.

I think dry cleaners is the safest bet but do they do bags?  I can just see the person at the dry cleaners try to look that one up for a price estimate with a line growing behind me :)

...If a dishwasher does wonders for mac internals I wonder what it'd do for mac coverings?  ;)

I think I may try a washing machine first.  It's a bit tattered already so it's no loss if it doesn't come out okay.

I'll let you know how it works out when I get it and can wash it.

Tried a dry cleaner, they weren't interested as it was too hard.

I wet mine on the outside, used some dishwashing detergent, and scrubbed with a soft bristled brush.  Works a treat!

If it is manky on the inside, you don't have much to lose in the washing machine.
