Hmm I thought the BroadATX is specifically for Mac II/x/fx
OK, this thread didn't mention another product for big box macs, I just though someone typo'd beigeHmm I thought the BroadATX is specifically for Mac II/x/fx
Yeah the broad ATX is kind of a kit to adapt it more broadly to other computers w diff PSUs...Mac II, as in the original Mac II? They have a different connector.
Or do you mean Mac II series, such as a IIci?
Sorry, the 6100 uses a different power supply and connector. beigeATX is only meant for computers with a 10-pin connector, pictured here:Hey! Are these compatible with a 6100?
Thanks!
That's correct - broadATX will receive its own thread when it's ready. I'm very excited to share it with you all soon!Hmm I thought the BroadATX is specifically for Mac II/x/fx

Announcing broadATX for Mac II, IIx, and IIfx
https://anserine.co/products/broadatx Hello everyone, I'm pleased to announce that my latest project, broadATX, is now available at the Anserine Machines store. broadATX is a simple, drop-in adapter for the original Macintosh II/IIx/IIfx series that adds support for ATX power supplies, no...68kmla.org
Yeah, I've used IIci PSUs with IIsi boards. Other than the weird rotation, the connectors are electrically and mechanically identical. The store page mentions an incompatibility with the IIsi - any more details about that? As far as I'm aware, there are no differences between the IIsi power connector and the connectors on the other Mac models supported. I've used an ATX supply with a IIsi using a home-made adapter cable, and it worked OK without any problems that I noticed.
Standby!I agree! Unfortunately, some early testers of beigeATX reported that their IIsi would not *fully* boot. Unfortunately, these were also IIsis that had not been known to be working. Given the severity of the cap leakage and corrosion typically present, I can’t rule that out.
Until someone is willing to try beigeATX in a known working IIsi, I don’t want to give anyone false expectations.
You could order some of the open source ones? How's your soldering? The PCB manufacturer will assemble all the surface mount parts and ship to the EU, you just need to put in the big molex parts.Hi everyone, I want to buy some beigeATX to replace my dying PSU (IIci, IIcx, IIsi, ...) but can't buy directly from Anserine as their shop cannot deal (yet !) with EU countries. Is there anyone from this forum that can buy some for me (like 5) and then ship them here in EU (Belgium) ? Of course, I'll pay the extra shipping costs, ....
Thanks,
Soldering is ok, open source is a way I may consider also. thanks for the info. You could order some of the open source ones? How's your soldering? The PCB manufacturer will assemble all the surface mount parts and ship to the EU, you just need to put in the big molex parts.
I'd consider soldering a flying lead in place of one of the connectors to be honest.
