A new Analog Board for the SE/30 sans internal video complications?

NIGHT STALKER
Just how much of the SE/30 Analog Board would be required if you deep six the internal video subsystem by pulling the Video ROM? That would change the equation entirely, just toss the whole shebang! [}:)]

We've got the design for a grayscale neck board, could that design be adapted to run the tube from 512x384 or 640x480 inputs @8bit? I guess what I'm getting at could be best described as cloning everything about the 12" Monochrome Monitor board but the Power Supply section. The rest would be implemented on whatever acreage is left on the SE/30's A/B form factor once everything having anything at all to do with the video subsystem is excised and the minor remainder quarantined to a convenient spot.

The Radius Color Pivot II/IIsi or equivalent on the SE/30's PDS would take over from the shut down built-in video and drive the inputs of the 12" Monochrome Monitor Board Clone/GS Neck Board adaptation/Compact Mac CRT kluge.

Just askin'  .  .  .

Sounds like a good idea.  I've been thinking about it too. The ad vantage might be a NuBus adapter, the opportunity to redesign the power supply system, ditch the CRT (and a lot of heat a weight) and go color LED. Might save on the power budget.  Yeah, there's a lot that could be improved on the A/B board.
