400K Mac floppy drives

There were a couple of M0130 Mac 400K external drives and a Sun Remarketing 400K (same, but no Apple logo molded into case) for $5 ea at Austin's Goodwill Computer Store last Wednesday. I bought one of them and a M0100 mouse, also $5. Both pretty good looking, not very yellowed. If you're in the Austin vicinity and interested, check it out. The drive is gummed up solid. It will take disassembly and cleaning to see whether it works or not.

I went by there today. The Apple 400K drives were gone, but I picked up the Sun Remarketing one. They had a couple of very yellowed Mac Classics.

They also have about 20 or 30 new in the box Kensington Mouse In A Box at $7 each. These are the one button optical mice with both ADB and USB interfaces.

Not very exciting as a USB mouse because three button and scrolling USB mice are so ubiquitous, but a fairly nice ADB mouse and new ADB mice are practically extinct. And did I mention optical?

If you ever see 400K drives for sale at a surplus type store, BUY THEM ALL! They will sell here for at least what you paid for them, even if broken.

Humm... sounds like it might be worth a trip down to the Computer Works tomorrow.

I've been wanting to pick up a turntable so I can see what the regular goodwill has.
