Mr Fahrenheit’s conquests

I switched to my thicker (~2mm diameter) solder and had to crank my iron up to about 360°C to get reasonable behaviour / speed. I usually solder at 320°C for most stuff.

I have some 2 or 3mm solder, and for throughhole I prefer it at 400’c for quick work.

I made 5 myself. I tried one out on my IIci in hopes that it was my power supply and not the motherboard that was bad, but no dice. :(

Ugh. That sucks!! I hope you get it sorted out.

I wanted to try out JLCPCB’s assembly service, and had a free coupon. So I bought the minimum required to get assembly and ended up with 60 units.

What in the world?
On the old forum, I ran out of space posting photos of my recapping work on my collection.

I had asked Cory to remove them so I could continue to function (I literally could not post a single photo or upload as a result). I guess in the strange events surrounding the forum crash, and this request, somehow they files link to random images in the forum database.

That's all I can guess. That's definitely not my photo, and looking through some of the others, they appear to be random. My photos start with the IBM PC-DOS one.

Maybe they could ship it to you and you could do it for them? Because you love nothing more than recapping other peoples stuff!

Hah! Knowing how steve basically lived in an empty house for at least the early years of apple, owning such a garish couch would probably have been revolting for him.

Yeah but I’ll bet it wasn’t signed by jobs and Wozniak like that yellowed Mac plus that was definitely made while jobs was at apple was?? $2000 OBO ;)
