Hi,

The Modem/Printer port of my PB is connected to com1 of my PC via a null serial cable. The modem of my pc is in com3 and it can browse the net. I am running XP Pro in the PC.

Is there any way that I can browse the net in my mac, via the above configuration?

What are ways that I can get internet on my PB without the use of a modem or a ethernet card. In short, how can I share the connection on my PC to this mac ?

common mac gurus.. if one can transfer files via serial lines why not browse the net ?

I need help desperately.

Thanks

I have a PB 190cs/ 24MB RAM/ OS 8.1

you might try a multihoming routing software for your pc that will route your interenet connection from your pc to the mac, but i don't know if that works over the serial port.

how are you transfering files? with what app, if any?
