Skype for 10.4.11

Just recently Skype changed things so that I can no longer use it with Mac OS 10.4.11. I'm sure there's been lots of discussion and hopefully a fix mentioned.

Somewhere it was mentioned to use Skype 2.8, but after download its a higher version that doesn't work. Surly there's a URL with a simple fix.

Please help.

There are a variety of old versions here: http://mac.oldapps.com/skype.php

It looks like 2.8 ran for a long time and is anywhere from two to four years old-- if that version installs but still doesn't let you sign in, it's possible that Skype has changed their communication protocols in the intervening years, especially since Microsoft bought them.
