SE/30 does not boot

I have a SE/30 for over 10 years now without recapping it.Today I tried to boot it up but shows this picture.(it booted up once)I’m thinking to send it for recapping.

No flashing question mark?

You most likely have a broken trace under the caps near the power connector.

So definetly needs new caps and those traces checked.

Thanks Bolle.I will send the machine to a technician for recapping.I managed once to booted up normally...

From my limited understanding, a SCSI error of some nature, likely caused by a trace issue (as Bolle said).

I have recapped and cleaned the machine(including analog board) to a technician.I have sound now but still the machine does not see the hard disk.No icon at startup with hard disk plugged (as before),the usual disk when I unplugged the hard disk.

What can I do? To change cables,hard disk or what?

Well, if it has one of those Quantum hard drives, its of no surprise this is happening.

Suggested experiment:

Attach the drive's SCSI cable only. Power on the Mac SE/30. When the question-floppy icon appears, plug the power cable into your SCSI drive.

Report back what happens.

I tried with two other non-working hard drives I have(from LC's) and I've got the question-floppy icon which I think its usual.
