I don't know why you posted this under "Compact Mac", it should probably be in "Hacks & Development" or "Peripherals".
Anyway; Yes, it seems like artmix have launched a new SATA-SCSI converter now. $149

Still using the Acard ARC-760 SCSI to ATA converter, with an IDE to SATA converter IC which are still plentiful on the market. I just wish the datasheet and programming/interface information for the ARC-760 was available on the net.
Yeah, late to the game - just discovered Acard makes a 2.5" SATA-to-50-pin SCSI adapter box that is the physical size of a 3.5" drive.
Thus, throw in your laptop drive (or SSD!) and get a conventional-3.5"-drive-size with 50-pin SCSI drive. If it wasn't $250, I'd snap a couple up!
Although I love that one of the selling points is "use cheap SATA drive with legacy equipment!" Uh, it's not that cheap once you add in the adapter! (But yeah, if you have an old industrial system that MUST keep running, it's cheaper than replacing the system.)
