RAM!

After a bit of a fight between me and another bidder, I picked up this on eBay last night. I'm hoping they're 64MB sticks...if so Christmas has come early, and my Performa 5260, LC475 and LC630 DOS Compatible will all be getting some nice upgrades...but if not thats cool - I can always use 72 pin SIMMs that are bigger than 8MB.

I got them today...they have 4 NEC 4218160-60 chips on them each. From what I can gather, I think they're 8 MB SIMMs. Great. I seem to be like a magnet for these things, it seems. :-/

Note to self: No more buying "as is" RAM on eBay.

The trouble with that though is that I've already got a metric crapload of 8MB 72 pin SIMMs that I'll never use, and that I can't see of being much value to anyone else, either.

Now, if they were 30 pin SIMMs...that'd be different. But they're not. :p

Did they even make 8MB 30pin SIMM's?

That would have been an ungodly amount per stick back in the day.

Not too mention very expensive.

I once paid $300 for a 4MB stick.
