QuickTime inside the ROM of Macintosh "AV"

A few years ago, I came across this page stating that the ROM of the 660AV/840AV contains QuickTime 1.5 (https://web.archive.org/web/20220922133807/https://support.apple.com/kb/TA29776?locale=en_US).

QuickTime 1.5 is installed in ROM, however, the software version of QuickTime 1.6 was installed at the factory and will override the version in ROM.

Does anyone know if it can be enabled? I tried quickly by removing the extension that comes with System 7, but then the software wouldn’t launch anymore.

well @Dandu I could be wrong but I wonder if there was something else in the system-specific install cd that was particular to the av's?

Looking at the file I have that purports to be the 660AV/840AV ROM, the only tinme the string QuickTime appears in the ROM looks like it's a message in two JPEGs?

I have tried to install this version, and i have not seen a difference on my Centris 660AV
