So I got a hold of a few 280 motherboards from someone local, 1 powered on 2 didn't even after huge cleaning and recap, Have a 270 that has flaky video but will not fully boot after cleaning and recap.
Now here is the funny part. I put the 270 in the dock and it boots fully. So I guess the video hardware that gets bypassed to push through the dock is the faulty hardware that won't allow the 270 to show video and boot fully not in the dock.
When I get a chance I will try the 280 boards.
For me this is a new development as its limited to the duos. I will see if the other dock allows it also (mini)
