Pismo!

My sister ordered a Pismo last week to replace her B&W. The machine came as the sticker says: 400MHz, 128MB, 20GB, DVD-ROM. I put a 512MB stick in, so she's got 640MB now, happily running Tiger.

One more machine to the collection here. :)

I have a Lombard myself, I love the thing.

I've gone through too many AC adapters, though. Another one is on its way :)

Is that a yo-yo adapter? Every one I've come across can and will fail within time. It's usually due to the crapy mains power cable burning out, or fraying on the DC connector of the unit. You're better off getting a third-party adapter or later square white adapter for these things.

Love my Pismo here - it's a tank. Cost me $50 and all I had to do was pull the PRAM battery to get it to come to life. Now configured as 450Mhz/768MB RAM/80GB HD and Airport - perfect road warrior :D

I've gone through 3 yo-yos, and one 3400 45w adapter. This time, I'm trying my luck with a 3rd-party adapter.

The Pismo never came with a power adapter, so my sis is using the 24w adapter from my Duo 280c until both 3rd party 45w adapters show up. Then the 24w adapter can return to its duties powering the PowerBook 3400c hosting the LaserWriter :)

I have a BriteOn that came with my iBook, seems ok and I'm glad it doesn't have the God-awful colored circle that is insanely bright. I went through two yo-yo's when i had my clamshell, the 3rd yo yo has wire tape around the connections so it has less stress near the connections.
