PCI ethernet card for Mac OS 7-9? (or Token Ring)

Besides the rather demanding RTL8139, what other Gigabit options are there with driver support?

And are there any PCI Token Ring cards that are supported?

RTL8139 is 10/100; what about it is demanding? They are still widely available for $20 or less. RTL8169 also works and is gigabit, but you won't get gigabit speeds in classic Mac OS.

Anything with a DEC 21140 controller will also work, as that's what Apple used on their branded 10/100 PCI cards.
