old Macs and 68pin hdd with adapter

Hi,

I got this perfectly working 9.1 GB scsi hard disk that came with 68-50 pin adapter, used to work fine in Amiga 2000, which is ancient computer. Is there any chance I could get it working with SE/30 or Plus? Anyone tried that before? I am okay with using max 2 GB partition in old systems.

BTW the hard disk has a lot of jumpers, but none of them lets me control the parity...

You might have to use an external terminator on your SCSI cable. My SE/30s all seem to be picky with 68pin drives and adapters.

Seconded, I had to use an external terminator to get my SE/30 to talk to a 1GB IBM drive. I believe it could be a sign that the Bourns filters on the motherboard are marginal, but I’m not sure.

But yeah, try adding a terminator if nothing else seems to work.
