They have basically the same guts as the gray ones, and yes they are known leakers. I dont have a vice or tools to crack them open properly, so mine are way way way past overdue for restoration. Shame on me!

360alaska:  I really like that battery you have for sale.  How fast have they been selling off?  I'd like to pick one up after getting this board recapped, if it is fixable.  I just don't want to get stuck with a paperweight battery if my Portable will never run again if I order the battery prior to repairing the board.  Also, how servicable is your battery?  Is it something that I can rebuild myself in 8-10 years when it is spent?  Doesn't matter either way, just curious.  I like that it is a drop in unit with the posts already lined up.  If the logic board can be repaired, I will be buying one of your batteries.

To answer your question I have already sold a lot of portable batteries, you might be surprised to hear that this battery can be serviced... I also sell a hard drive adapter also.

Happy update.  After getting the logic board back from maccaps for a recapping and cleaning, everything appears to be working well
