I just got one of these and I am a bit nervous to plug it into a mac. It is stated as using SCSI-2, and I am not sure if 68k macs have SCSI-2 or SCSI 1 external ports.

It should be fine. SCSI-1 and SCSI-2 differ in their theoretical max data transfer speed, but otherwise they're interchangeable.

Ah excellent, I did not want to fry anything today (I have been quite lucky).

Now to find drivers for it!
