May be rominator issue

Hi,

I have both a Mac SE/30 and a Mac Color Classic,
Color classic is cool, but my love is SE/30, recently and I wanted to install NetBSD, SE/30 has 80Megs of RAM, and I mounted Rominator on it.
Now the funny thing is that I unable to format the disk with the mkfs utility provided by netbsd ( it is a macos utility ).
On Color Classic it works perfectly, on SE/30 it crashed with error 4 ( Divide by Zero )
I tried with same identical OS on both machines ( copied system folder ).
On NetBDS forums nobody else got this error on SE/30 ( and SE/30 is listed as supported machine )
So wow I have the doubt that the error comes from the Rominator or may be an incompatibility with the physical harddrive.
So I would try to swap the ROMinator with the original SE/30 one and see what happens. Next I would swap the hard drive.
Do you have any other idea ?

yeah i have a SCSI2SD and a ROM-inator and mkfs just hangs on formatting. with the original ROM reinstated it formats, albeit slow af.
