Macintosh LC and PurpleRAM

Hi,

i got a Macintosh LC in excellent condition but with just 4 MB RAM and want to upgrade to 10 MB. I intend to buy PurpleRAM Sticks from Siliconinsider (https://www.tindie.com/products/siliconinsider/purpleram-16mb-4mb-x-4-30-pin-dram-simm-kit/) as I already have his SCSIknife and MacBatt - would match colorwise :-D

Can anyone confirm if they will work in the LC?

They should work just fine, I haven’t tried his specific sticks but gave used the two chip simms in lc’s many times and they always work fine

Thought I'd mention that Bolle currently has 68040 LC accelerators for sale over here:

Only problem is that you'll get four sticks and the LC only has two SIMM slots.

Yes they work! But original sticks are slightly thicker, I had to carefully bend the pins in the SIMM slots of my LC to make good contact and had them detected
