Whenever I widen the horizontal adjust,

the top and bottom corners move out but the middle of the left and right side stays where it is... like this:

Is there an adjustment to counterbalance this and get them even?

Hi smrieck,

Yes, there is a dial to adjust this distortion, see service manual below, page 31. Before delving in, clean all the pots using electronic solvent spray and allow it to warm up for 20mins+ before adjustments are made.

The Display Service Utility might also help you to know the recommended dimensions for the image so you're not overdriving it.
