So I picked up an LC580 and everything seemed fine. Caps weren’t leaking. It powered on and ran good. I decided to wipe the drive and reinstall. During install all the sudden it went dead. Just powered off. No smoke, no smells.
If if I hit the power button it makes a series of high pitched chips. I’m thinking the power supply, which is integrated in the analog board, has died.
So want to bounce it off you folks for ideas where to start diagnosing and repairing.
