Just purchased iMac G3

The iMac G3 has OS 9.2 installed.

The internal optical CD drive is read only.

I tried an external LG DVD burner connected via FireWire. Although DVD's and CD's will mount on the iMac's desktop and I can copy from the contents of a CD or DVD i can not get Adaptic/Toas ( OS 9 version )t to "see" the LG burner.

Obviously the iMac needs some drivers.

However not exactly sure if those drivers are still some where in cyberspace for downloading.

Help please.

Opps, This iMac G3 does have an internal optical CD reader and CD burner.

After installing Adaptic/Toast for OS 9 i was able to burn a CD although i found it weird as to how it goes thru the process of burning a CD.
