Hi all,
Some of you might remember my thread about the computer store that closed.... Well, here is what I brought home.
iMac G3, Indigo, 2001 model. Screen burn in (Mac OS X log in screen), 384MB of RAM, no HD, CD-RW, and damaged plastics. $20 (i think)
iMac G3 500MHz Snow, 2001 i think, DVD-ROM, that doesn't accept discs, 10GB HD, two sticks of RAM, one of which actually works in an iMac. This thing was PULVERIZED. $5
Assorted parts. 2x iMac G3 drive carriers with CD drives, untested. 2x clamshell iBook CD drives with blue bezel, untested. iMac G3 RAM covers.
11x IBM USB optical wheel mice. These were $3 each, and should be very nice to go with the dozen or so iMac G3s i have left to sell. $3 each.
HP LaserJet 4050n printer. With toner, JetDirect, extra tray, and duplexer, effectively making it a DTN model. 16k page count. Mac OS X tells me the toner will need replacing soon (the "supplies" button in the print window is orange), but its still nice and dark. 24MB of RAM, btw. This was $35.
Blue and White G3 tower, 400MHz. This is missing top two handles, but had a Formac StudioPro II TV card. No RAM/HD. Haven't tested it yet. $15.
Overall, I paid $110 for everything. I don't think I'm leaving anything out.
Here are pics... http://www.fixthatipod.com/akron_asset_conquests/index.html
BTW - no 68ks or anything beige, except six or seven LaserWriter 12/640 PS units, all from a library in New York, according to the stamp on the sides.
Comments welcome
