iMac Core 2 Duo.

Doesn't beat my iLamp conquest. :D

Speaking of that thing, does anyone have/know where I can the tool to tighten the arm? It's gotten loose and won't hold it's up anymore (I'm calling it emo because it hangs it's head down, tee hee.). Someone please shed light on this if possible.

Ah, but can it do this...

I'm raging at the moment though, my external firewire case failed. After reading 100+ posts on MacTalk about it, I most certainly won't be buying LaCie cases again. So add that to the budget. New Time Machine drive.

Just looking for something to run on here now, already played a few games of NASCAR 2003 on full graphics acceleration. Bloody Epic.

Did the case fail, or the drive?
The case. Drive works fine when connected directly to the ATA bus of the Quicksilver.

Crysis? On a GMA950? I doubt it. Last I checked it was still impossible to get perfect detail and resolution with that game (and any game with such inefficiency isn't worth the space on my hard disk).

Yeah... but isn't the video performance just plain horrible? If I could get the disc, I would try it. I'm usually pretty good at making games run on older hardware with good framerates.

*Bitch slaps iMac600*

BAD!

Oh come on, no-one could enjoy that. It's like being given a Rolls Royce and using it for drag races.

I'd drag race a Rolls Royce... :-/

Not bad though, the fact it can run Windows so well... I thought the PowerPC G4 was fast, but this absolutely blows it away. Can't wait to do some serious project work or video editing on it.

Really? They must cripple the Minis then because I've never been happy with the speed of mine. About as slow as Lucille Ball in a physics lab.

Isn't your mini an original Core Duo (rather than Core 2 Duo) heebie? That'd explain the speed difference.

Big difference, a Core Duo is basically two Pentium M's slapped together on one chip. A Core 2 Duo is a much newer, faster design, and is 64 bit also.
