A couple of weeks ago i tested my new (to me) Quicktake, using the IIsi for that purpose.
After 15 minutes, the IIsi turned itself off, with a loud bang and smoke coming from the PSU.
I waited for one minute, hit the switch again...and the IIsi came to life with no trouble.
I used the units for a pair of hours and all was OK.
Obviously, something was wrong anyway, and as i only have one PSU for my two units, i decided today to brake the PSU open.

One of the caps has gone bad, and i was able to find one locally:

Removing the old unit and getting the new one was just a couple of minutes.

Back to service again.
