Goodwill Computer Works Store in Houston

I just found out about this today. It opened back in March. Who knows what I've missed.

This is what I got today:

Personal LaserWriter 300 BOXED $15

Now Utilities 4 NIB shrinkwrapped $4

Apple Macintosh AppleShare (80s) NIB shrinkwrapped $4

Apple Macintosh LaserShare (80s) NIB shrinkwrapped $4

Mac OS 8.5 Boxed $4

3x ADB Cables NIB $2 ea

Apple Mousepad $1

Computer City (defunct) Mousepad $1

2x Mac to VGA $2 ea

3x SCSI to HDI-30

SCSI To Firewire $2

Mac Serial to USB $2

Shrinkwrapped Global Village Teleport Gold II (Performa pack-in) $4.95

They had every conceivable part you could need and loads of boxed and NIB stuff, that includes old 80s stuff, 90s, recent. They had a brand new in box 4 GB 7200 RPM SCSI drive but the price was marked $279 so I said screw that pretty much.

In the back on a high shelf they had 2 SE/30s and a IIc but she said that was their "computer museum" and they weren't for sale. What a shitty museum, they were not plugged in or anything and were just sitting there getting dusty.

I could see in the back. The back room was easily 4x as large as the front room and had dozens of pallets of computer stuff with Apple stuff easily visible. I am assuming most of the old Apple desktops and towers are being parted. I emailed, what I think is the correct person at Goodwill to inquire about purchasing Apple desktops and towers before they part them. It might be a good source of Apple stuff if I could get in the back and get the real gems. It might also be a good place to dumpster dive if they are throwing away anything good.
