Greetings all-
I'm trying to get some classics from macintoshgarden.org to my newly restored Classic II. I have lots of pieces to the puzzle but no clear solution:
-An Apple CD-ROM drive connected to the Classic II that reads Mac OS Standard discs
-An iMac with the ability to burn Mac OS Standard CDs (thanks to the Burn app)
-A USB floppy drive connected to the iMac. Since Mac OS X doesn't support Mac OS Standard, I can only write to a PC formatted disk
So far I have been able to burn disks that the Classic can read just fine, but it thinks all the files are text documents. I thought I could burn Stuffit compressed files to a CD (to preserve the resource fork info), but I need Stuffit Expander on the Classic, and every time I try to get that over there it mistakes the .sea file as text. Grrr.
I feel like I'm getting closer, but not quite all the way there. I welcome any advice. Thanks!
Bill
