Farallon PCI 10/100 card questions

So my 4400/200 came with the comm-II ethernet 10BaseT card and a Farallon PCI card in one of the slots. Maybe I'm dim, but I couldn't find its p/n in a list of drivers for Mac OS. Heck, I don't even know if I was looking up the right identifier as the p/n. I searched the numbers I thought might be p/ns and all that really came up were windows drivers: 8960155-00-01

Is this actually a Mac OS supported card? ( I mean, were drivers written for it—the OS 9.1 drivers do not recognize it, just says there is no ethernet)

Thanks

So under OS 9.1 I had no problems. DHCP automatically fetched all the settings to connect to my switch, but now Under 7.6.1 I got nothing. The card appears to be functioning and the utilities that were on the disk show it as such.

It's been too long... do I need to manually set up everything to connect to my LAN? Darn this era of PnP everything... made my brain soft.

DHCP hasn't always existed. Before it there was BOOTP.

Not that this is super easy if TCP/IP isn't working, but are you using OpenTransport and have you updated it?

I'm using the version that installed with 7.6.1 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ do I need to update that version then? I have a vague memory of you telling me this already

It's better if you do, it *should* connect on its own, but the updated files (version numbers and files are on system7today.com) work better and allow connections to newer appleshare servers (also get the appleshare upgrade as well.)

So I got all the 7.6.1 recommended updates installed on the 4400/200 (now G3 400). And I'm at the same place with my DHCP settings :/

Tried a manually setup, but I think Google 's router doesn't like that... Well, I guess I could go back to the stock 10BT comm slot card (my gigabit service is ending soon anyway and I'll only have 5Mbps down and 1Mbps up). Or I could put the 9.1 CF card back in and run it that way...
