Farallon Etherwave for a Phaser 6280

Looking for some corroboration that this Farallon Etherwave adapter might be the ticket to printing directly through my network from an SE/30 to my Phaser 6280. It seems like from the service manual that is speaks AppleTalk (pg 372)— so with the LaserWriter 8 driver, it could send Postscript right to it, through a hub.

I currently don't have an easy way to install my MacCon cards, so I'm hoping there's a different way. Otherwise I may set up one of them as a printer server.

Yea, this will do what you are looking for.

Make sure the printer actually supports AppleTalk. Check the web interface or front panel menus. HP supported it fairly late (2012ish) and its usually enabled by default out of the box!
