Dove Marathon 030 accelerators for SE & Plus

Has anyone ever soldered on a 68882 socket, or FPU directly, to one of these boards? About to send it off to have professionally soldered, but wanted to see if it's successfully been done before. I have the installation manual for the Plus version, but it doesn't mention the FPU (or any chips/options at all for that matter). Just an bunch of empty holes begging for an FPU to be added. :)

?? you're asking if people have ever soldered a machine pin socket to through holes ??

...yes???

Suspect you might want to look at the extension for the card/documentation to see if it mentions anything about "SANE". Nothing written with a SE or earlier will expect a FPU, so without SANE patches to direct some calls to use the FPU.... nothing will utilize it.

Yeah, docs don't mention an FPU at all. I'll see if the docs on the disks say anything about SANE. Thanks.

I dont think that was the question. OP asked if anyone had ever done this TO ONE OF THESE BOARDS. I think the point was pretty clear, will this work or not (Ie will these boards support an FPU if a socket is added or was the socket left out purposefully because the underlying support wasn’t in place)
