Color Classic Help!!! Strange Horizontal Lines

Hi Everybody,

I recently got a SE/30, LC 475 and Color Classic for free!

I've gotten the LC and SE/30 to work (Both needed a new HDD), but the Color Classic is struggling me.

I think it's the A/B which might have gone bad, but I'm now sure.

When booting the machine I get no video, just a saturated screen (because I poked around with the RGB values) with horizontal stripes (they're actually not quite horizontal).

Does anybody know what this is and possible a solution?

It would be such a shame for a beauty like this. It still has the quicktime sticker and almost no yellowing!

Caps, caps and caps. I suggest a search, this topic is beat to death. If you got them for free you will see why they don't work, good score now time to repair.

Mcd, Uniserver and some others may be able to recap them for you for a fee as parts, shipping and labor. You are just gonna have to look around. the 550 board that Mcd redid for me did the same thing It was a wonder it would do that much. One of these days I need to road trip and go get that.......or have him come up and pilfer stuff from me.
