Absolutely... I do use extreme care with them. You certainly can't use them as if you are trying to scrub through the case, but if used lightly they do clean very quickly. I'll admit I was probably wrong to recommend it, because if you aren't careful with it you can do damage.

Simple Green Industrial Wipes are the best I've ever used for cleaning dirt. It has a smooth side and an abrasive side with little plastic beads. The beads doesn't hurt anything (don't scratch, etc.), but I find it works a lot better on dirt and residue than the normal wipe. Cleans everything on a computer, perfect for keyboards and palm rest areas of laptops.
