Simply put: I know that Classic Rev, A and Rev. B boards are not compatible with the two different earlier and later style CRTs. The Classic II I picked up is a later model that has a B board. I figured only the connector was different. Turns out that is not the case: about four capacitors are of different values, and some of those are not even the same listed number. For instance, CL1 on a Rev. A board is 10 µf, 50 V, whereas on the Rev. B it is 1000 µf, 25 V. Big difference, not just beefier component. CP31 from a Rev. A...doesn't even exist on a Rev. B. These are just two examples. I had no idea they were that different.
As an aside question, those film capacitors, CL6 and I believe CL7...anyone know their values? I get no hits from the writing on them and am not sure if they need to be replaced (my ESR meter is useless if I don't know what the ideal value is).
