I replaced the Zip drive in my 1999 PowerMac G4 Sawtooth with a Compact Flash reader from Star Tech and it works flawlessly.
I needed to yank a pin from the 40-pin IDE cable I bought to make it compatible with the Foxconn cable so I used micro zip ties and a rubber band to keep the top on. I will explain my method for this if needed. I'm very happy with this upgrade because I can run a full size modern operating system from the card and move large files with shocking speed.
The Zip drive is available and I will trade it for more parts.
