I finally got copies of Designing Cards and Drivers for the Macintosh Family and Guide to the Macintosh Family Hardware today.
Armed with the information these contain, I'd eventually like to experiment with declroms by replacing the ROMs in any old nubus cards. Most ethernet cards have a replaceable ROM on them that should be just a 27c256/512/whatever or so compatible chip right? AFAIK, I should be able to replace the contents with anything I want. Start with loading existing drivers through a declrom, and maybe move on to actually trying to do something with the card.
