Asanté EN/SC stopped working

Hello everyone,

I have a SCSI ethernet box Asanté EN/SC which worked fine for many years but then stopped working suddenly.

The symptoms are: no matter which application I try to communicate with the EN/SC, the respective app hangs (thus the whole system).

What I tried is:

- Asanté troubleshooter

- network prefs: activate EtherTalk

- Lido (SCSI-tool): scan SCSI bus

Any suggestions?

did you pop it apart and check for cap goo?

There was nothing to see so far but nevertheless I already exchanged the 4 (bigger, cylindric) caps.

Have you tried booting with a minimal amount of extensions?  Could be a software conflict.

Yes, I also tried booting with extensions disabled.
