AppleShare 1.1 disk image?

Working on a little retro-computing project with a 512k Mac (actually a Mac 128 upgraded to 512, with an HD 20 attached to it). I'd like to get AppleShare going it to download from TAM that I have on-hand.

Anybody got a working link to download an image of AppleShare Workstation 1.1 installation disk? :?:

I found a couple links on the same page that had early system software availble for download, but the thinks on that page for AppleShare 1.1 don't appear to be valid any more.

Any help appreciated.

If you can make do with AppleShare Setup 1.0.1 (System 6 and System 7, with caveats), it is here under Utilities Software Downloads.

AppleShare Client Setup 1.0 (System 7 and up) is also available.

I believe the "AppleShareSetup 1.0.1" disk is just a control-panel add-on for managing AppleShare, and requires that AppleShare also be installed (or be part of the underlying OS?). Also, I need it for for a pre-System 6 setup on an old 512k Mac. From what I've read it has to be the old AppleShare 1.1 workstation disk. :'(

What you are looking for is 388kB (on a 400kB diskette) containing System, Finder, Hard Disk 20, Installer, AppleShare, AppleShare Script, readme (sic) and Mac System 512K,512Ke Script.

Many years ago this was available still as a download. Your recent experience argues that that is no longer the case. Why not see what a PM can achieve?

Of course, I'm assuming by PM you mean private-message (either here on the boards, or e-mail somebody).

I was kind of hoping this thread might help kick-off a discussion that would lead to a PM, that might lead to a temporary download location or e-mail a compressed copy of the image or some such.

On a personal note, my Mac had been sitting in storage for a couple decades. I am very pleased to find that after all this time, there is still a fairly active community working with/around such classic hardware. I've been able to pick-up just about everything in the last few months to take my old Mac to it's fullest, either free (software images, etc.) or by way of parts on eBay, including:

• NIB OEM 128k to 512k upgrade kit (that was pretty rare find apparently).
  Used HD-20 (actually 2, one works, the other is dead)
  Various external floppy drives (400k and 800k)
  Downloads of system software, etc.
  Used AppleTalk dongles, etc.

Thanks! Using the WayBackMachine, I was able to pull out a working link from 2003 or 2004 for a disk image, that I was then able to pull down on a TAM, and use Disk Copy 4.x to make a diskette for use in the Mac 512k!

Was then able to setup AppleTalk between the Mac 512 and my TAM! Woohoo!
