Apple ///

Should be on my way to pick up an Apple /// tonight - for FREE!

The owner says it comes with matching green screen monitor, a huge amount of "original" software on floppies, a couple joysticks, external floppy drive, some accessory cards, and lots of manuals, including a factory repair manual. I never thought I'd be able to find a /// for that kind of price let alone with all the accessories.

I'll have to look through the literature with it to see if any would be good candidates for scanning to share.

So ... anyone know anything about SOS? lol ...

Oh, yeah. It was a score. The owner was a member of the really old-school CMUG group. He was a super nice guy and self-proclaimed pack rat with too much stuff. He let me take all of this free of any charge.

A pair of slot-loading iMacs. One is a 350MHz non-DV, the other a 700MHz SE.

The Apple /// with an external drive. Needs a good cleaning inside but powers on (and loops through ROM checks). The external drive has been modded to bypass the disk write protection.

A TON of manuals for Apple ///, Apple II, Apple pascal, 6802 assembly, etc. Lots of software. A couple of joysticks. In-box Apple II peripheral cards. A loose-leaf copy of the Apple /// service manual.

Nice score, hopefully my next conquest will be an iMac of some kind.

Makes me wish I hadn't moved from Oregon, as there is a lot of older macs around the west coast(at least that's what it seems like to me lol).

I have an Apple /// somewhere but no idea if it still works. They have this tendency towards spontaneous death. Of course, we'll just whack it on the ground a few times and reseat the chips first. ;D
