There was a big discussion on Vintage Computer Forum. People seem to be split 50/50 on what to do. Half think no one should buy any of it and wait to see the results of the appeal, and the other half think we should buy it all up else it'll end up in the hands of gold scrappers. At the very least, if the computer hobbyists buy it up, we know the pieces will be going to people who will take good care of them.
I don't know, they both have really good arguments. Currently having to part with a lot of my own favorite computers, I know it's tough. I couldn't imagine seeing a lifetime worth of collectables be taken away. But you hafta pay your bills, man. Only thing to it.
