A Blue Apple Product...

...you thought I was going to say an iMac or G3 tower, right?

Nah, it's an iPod Shuffle. Mostly because I needed something to keep me sane as I train for the Pittsburgh Half Marathon and didn't want to take the Touch with me as I've been doing (I've had to hold it the entire time so far). Having the clip is going to be great, plus my Touch's battery life is starting to fade big time. My other iPod, an ancient Mini...let's just be thankful it still charges at all.

Looking forward to breaking this guy out tonight when I hit the gym.

EDIT: Just a side note--my tag for the half marathon reads "MAC MAN". Might as well show some Apple pride.

Is it the current model? I have one and they're pretty nice. One word of caution though, get some sort of case of the little guy. The headphone jack side is extremely sensitive. Mine fell not even a foot on to tile, and the headphone jack was dented beyond repair. Best Buy swapped it for free thanks to the Geek Squad warranty.

Yes, it's the new model. Bought it from the Apple Store after replacing yet another cable under warranty (this time my 30-pin to VGA).

Cases seem to be tough to find, but I'm sure I could find something good. I have a friend who both runs and does crafts, maybe I'll see if she can whip something up for me that would keep it safe and withstand 13.1 miles of pure endurance.

Time to go break this guy in--have to go late to the gym in January to avoid the crazy wannabe athletes who blare the Spice Girls over the music system.
