840AV auto-inject floppy - how to mount in drive bay?

So it looks like I have a manual inject floppy in my newly acquired 840AV, but an auto-inject bezel because I can't push disks in without using a pointy object.

I have a spare working MP-F75W but I'm guessing I won't be able to mount it without the detachable metal drive casing/shield that was specific to each Mac model. For example, my SE/30 uses a different shield to my IIci. Which design did the Quadra 800/840AV case use?

Found a pic, looks like theres a custom metal case and a custom plastic tray.

Tried something yesterday:

That failed, the drive sits too high up as compared to the bezel opening.

The correct drive sled has a thinner platform, it should be easy to 3D print a new design.

If I remember correctly, the Q800 bracket will work in all of the early minitower cases (800, 840av, 8100, and 8500), so you probably need that part. Could check with Herb Johnson in New Jersey. I think he does ship internationally.

Scored one on eBay; very happy. The combination of plastic and metal feels like a kludge, a way to fit an earlier generation of floppy drive in a new generation of case that weren’t designed with them in mind.
