Look at the letters and numbers silkscreened on the motherboard - and double check the Sad Mac codes. These diagnostic codes are pretty amazing really, for the time. As mentioned, there will be more faulty chips when you replace this one, or to come.

Hi, No translation needed - you likely have failed 4164 RAM, more than one chip, I would recommend desoldering all, replace with DIP16 sockets and new tested 4164 chips. Having just done this, it is not a fun job at all to do, you will need time and good soldering skills to get there. JB

All CC upgrades are a hack, personally I’d go with the tried and true 5400/5500/6400/6500 upgrade noting once you go anything faster than that you will hit power and thermal issues.
