I have this DayStar Turbo 040 40mhz Card & IIsi Adapter card.

But I was wondering if I can just use this accelerator card with my adapter in my SE/30?

That one is a 50Mhz model with co-processor which I don't think the one I have now has. I'm still waiting on the driver diskette for it...

Yep, that adapter is the missing link! That'd be the upper of the two adapter cards and lower of the two adapter cards in all four multiple adapter configs on that page.

trag has the connectors, but they're most elegantly configured in the "Wrong-Angle Adapter Hack" that bbraun and I (and many others before us) have been doing to clean up klugeish configurations like you see in the (NO SOLDERING REQUIRED) configurations on that page. The "SOLDERING REQUIRED" config in the middle diagram shows the "Wrong-Angle Adapter Hack."

Cool. Oh wow they are selling those right-angle adapters for cheap! I didn't know what you meant at first but now I see the adapters allow you to keep the floppy drive much easier and allow for an add-on video card. It took me a second to find it but it looks like this is what you're referring to: http://home.earthlink.net/~gamba2/se30_pds_multiple.html#sal

I guess now I just need to find a grayscale card. It's my understanding that those a pretty darn rare though right?

That looks like an external video card, but it has a male socket, and video cards usually have a female socket which is curious.

Also, only some of the Micron exceed cards do grayscale, not all, and not any other brands, and there were many companies that made SE/30 external video cards.

Yeah I had (still do) a real hard time figuring out if that was a female or male port. The picture is so blurry and the port is recessed in the casing so it got less light than the rest of the ports.

I figure worst case scenario I at least finally have an SE/30 case that looks like it just needs cleaned up and hopefully a motherboard that just needs recapped.

I'm laughing in the back of my head that this is going to show up and somehow have something lame like an IBM game port card. (no idea if they made those but it would be funny)

If it IS a video card I know I've no guarantee that's an xceed, grayscale or if it is that it even comes with the internal adapter. That doesn't mean I'm not crossing my fingers though ;)

Very strange, I pulled the pics and looked at them magnified, the Shell/contact spacing appears to be Male/Shroud. I checked my PAS 16, but while it uses DA-15, the gender is wrong. But it could be some other interesting card.

At least it's not just a ThickNet NIC. ;)

Heck even if it was a thicknet adapater it'd be something.

I'll probably make an unboxing/case opening vid just for this lol

It's a netaxcess SE30 card used for connecting to an IBM AS400.

The Apple II pictures are there just because it came in at the same time as the SE30.

I think you can, but youll need a 90 degree PDS adapter. Luckily, there's a member here who sells them cheap.
Who's selling them? I wouldn't mind having one for my SE/30.
