What cable for Wacom Digitizer SD-311e?

Someone is offering to sell me a Wacom Digitizer SD-311e, but it doesn't have the cables for connecting to the Macintosh or power. The power cable seems pretty standard, but I'm unsure what the connection to the Mac looks like. The output on the back of the tablet is RS-232c (9-pin serial), but what did that plug into? DB-25? ADB? Thanks for any help!

From the manual I've seen your tablet has a DB9 serial plug next to two banks of dip switches. I assume a DB9 to Mini DIN adapter, plus the drivers are all you need mind you, I've never seen a Wacom product for a mac that did not use ADB.

Hey CelGen, thanks for the response. Yes, I figured ADB is what I would need. Finding a DB9 to ADB cable is not going to be easy!

That isn't what I said. I said that it is a serial cable that you need as the manual does not mention ADB at all.

Ah. I guess I read that wrong: 'I've never seen a Wacom product for a Mac that did not use ADB.' I see now that you mean that this model is the anomaly. Yeah...it's definitely a Mac model. The guy has all the original Mac drivers floppies, etc. But as you say, ADB is not readily apparent. I was thinking maybe it had a RS-232c to ADB cable or one that maybe went from 9-pin to 25-pin. When you say a DB9 to Mini DIN adapter, will I need another adapter to go from standard PC Mini DIN to Apple's ADB?

No. You will go from the conventional DB9 serial connection to the MiniDIN 8 plug Apple used for years as their serial port. This all assumes that Wacom wanted a mac user to go out of their way like this which I have never seen them do. I've never seen a Wacom product use a mac's serial port. Serial equipped Wacom products were for PC's. Wacom's Apple products that I have seen always plugged into ADB.
