Wallstreet II speaker

I am hearing a bit of crackling coming from the internal speaker. Is this good, considering that it "fixed" the sound? It used to not play a "BONG" at start, but now it does!

But is that crackling good? I don't know. Since I don't know, I'm leaving it off until I get answers, either from Google or you guys. :p

Probably something rattling inside (like dust or debris) or the rubber around the cone is disintegrating.

Uh-oh. The speakers aren't on anymore.

This could be something to do with the PRAM battery... But I can't take this thing apart, for fear of tearing ribbons, or anything, basically.

And, this computer is built like a brick.

Opening one up is easier that it looks.

A bad PRAM can cause slow startup, but on my Books, they all chime
