Video recording prob on 7500 w/ G3 upgrade.

I just upgraded my old Power Mac 7500 with a 500mHz G3/1mb L2 upgrade card (Sonnet Cressendo). Prior to the G3 upgrade, the 7500 had been running a 200mHz 604e upgrade without issue.

The 7500 is primarily used to record digital video. I keep the setup very simple. It's running System 7.5.5., has 256mb (2x128) of RAM (interleaved), and 2mb VRAM. The on-board video card is used to drive a 14" Audiovision monitor. Quicktime version is 3.0. Avid Videoshop 3.0 is used to record video.

I picked up the G3 upgrade in hopes that video recording performance would be improved. And, indeed, it seems to be much faster than the 604e in this regard, but, now, unfortunately, every video I record using any sort of compression is streaked with bands of video artifacts. :(

I've tried everything I can think of to remedy the problem, but the issue persists.

Does anyone here have any insight in to what may be causing this problem and what I can do to fix it?

Problem solved with an upgrade to QT 5. I didn't realize QT 5 was still available for download, let alone that it was compatible with System 7.5.5.
