Theming resources for Mac OS 8 (68k)

I've been searching for some of the best theming resources and add-ons for Mac OS 8.1 running on 68k-based Macs. So far I've installed these:

 2.3.1 - kaleidoscope - os theming

 2.3.1 - smoothtype - font anti-aliasing

2.7.0 - greg's browser - finder window with columns view

2.4.5 - power windows - window and menu transparency effects

 1.0.0 - opcolourlight - desktop font mod

3.7.2 - dragstrip - app dock similar to drag thing, finder palette and square one
2.0.1 - doubletouch - window minimizing enhancement ( although I can't find my copy of the 68k version atm )

Are these pretty all of them, then?

I have a couple of items like a few icons and schemes, but I just wanted to see if that was it for finder theming options, even if it's just some 68k-optimized icons or maybe some good schemes to try out.

There's also gregs buttons. I don't think it's uploaded anywhere yet though? Haven't checked. (Edit, it's on Mac repository) I've got it on an 800k disk right now.

You can change stuff like the menu bar color without changing your theme and other stuff. Really you can't just change little stuff that themes won't really change.

Those are awesome items guys!

@galgot: I'd love to run a-dock, but that will be for my mac os 8.5+ powermacs only  :)

@johnny: finderpop and greg's buttons, I'll have to try those two out!

By the way, has anyone heard of MacHacks? they had contests every year and they published these hacks on CDs. The coolest would be from 1999, since it collected all of the hacks from all the past years, including one that year called Unfinder 1.0.

This clever hack allowed you to undo file deletions, copies, moving files around, etc. The icon for it is below:

Thanks Galgot! Yes the Tilery is indeed an elegant and very customizable launcher! I only went with DragStrip because it can mimic a true dock look and feel just a little better and it can hold folders, files and control panels as well as programs.. I even managed to add the trash icon for looks mostly ( you can't right click to empty the trash, but the finder's keyboard shortcut and menu do the trick just as good )  ;D

@jsarchibald- yes, kaleidoscope does bring the simple beauty of system 7's finder and I like skinning it that way sometimes.. can't improve on perfection after all! ;D

Come to think of it, let me ask about those Mac Hacks on it's own topic. It would be awesome to get some of those cools system tools back into use on our cool little hot rods!  [:D] ]'>

Those are some very fun GUI enhancements. I love Window Monkey, I may have forgotten about Gravite, and Zipple's one I paired up with Menuette! [:D] ]'>

This is where the extension manager comes in really handy! This way the fun is just a reboot away ;D  and when having a more relaxed workflow, it's just as easy to switch out the cool toys and simply use the productivity tools. Another one I enjoy using is TaskMenuBar. It gets a mini dock on the menu bar, making you have to use menuette to have enough room up there

I added one more to the list, and I found my 68k DoubleTouch control panel again.. that one was a hard-to-find one, lol!:

3.5.1 Switch-It - very customizable app switching utility

1.0.0 LiteSwitch - another easy-to-use app switching utility

I went with Switch-It for it's flexibility although I'm happy with either since I also love how minimal LiteSwitch is!  :)

I've always loved FinderPop, a worthy addition to the list! Greg's Buttons doesn't seem to work as well on Mac OS 8, but it's an excellent 68k control panel optimized for System 7, though.. I've also played around with Find Pro, precursor to the finder's find utility ;)

I love Pfinder, Galgot! :D

I just fired it up on Mac OS 9 and it work really great! It would have been nice if the author had also made a 68k version (w/out large 32-bit Mac OS X icons); remember this list is for 68k, lol! not to worry, I love and use OS 9, so your gems won't go to waste and we all can definitely benefit from both PPC and 68k theming and modding utilities.
