THEY'RE RE-RELEASING IT?? 8-o

Woah, that's several levels of awesome. Man, I remember buying a copy in 2003 and wondering why it was so badly sheltered. I simply never knew it existed until then.

I've got my copy of it (for OS X on DVD), and I must say, they did an amazing job porting it over to Intel (Windows, OS X, and Linux). They used SCUMMVM for the game's engine and re-rendered all of the games imagery in full resolution to get rid of the pixelation of the original CD release. The audio is also in a lot better quality as well.

It's also nice to have features that would have been exclusive to the unreleased PSX port added (Controllable Scenes like the Sub Chase, Etc.).

I've been a huge fan of The Journeyman Project series since I was 5, and I'm glad to see Presto Studios (while still a company, they have deferred development since 2002) take such a dedicated approach to keeping their games alive on more current platforms.

They re-released Buried in Time and Legacy of Time on GOG, and carbonized the DVD version of Legacy of Time for use on OS X 10.3.9 - OS X 10.6.8, and now they've ported the most obscure game in the series over and I believe that will also be released on GOG in February.

I was able to register for the Windows beta, and that was quite nice to play without having to deal with sheepshaver, and a whole lot smoother.

The other cool thing was the DVD came with a universal app for PowerPC and Intel, and the original OS 9 App, which was also updated with the new features.

The DVDs also come with "the lost soundtrack". Also if you want a DVD for Mac/Linux, there was a question posed about this on their Facebook page.
