I've got an odd question... ever since I installed an SSD (SATA SSD with an IDE adapter) in my TAM, booting takes a long time time. Sitting on the happy mac gray screen for roughly 2-3 minutes. Once up and running, everything is snappy. Swapping back in the HD (which was cloned) and the happy mac screen is there for sub 20 seconds.
Yesterday I discovered if I have a CD In the drive, booting off the SSD doesn't sit on the happy mac screen nearly as long.
Not a big deal, I'm just wondering if anyone has any idea what could be causing it. I have startup memory checks disabled - I don't know of anything that occurs that early in the boot process.
